Executive Leadership Coaching
1:1 and Team Coaching with Dr. Kimberly Kinzer
How you manage your emotions at work is the difference between being a good leader and a great one.
Whether we like it or not, emotions are woven into our everyday interactions and influence how we react to decisions, change, challenges and opportunities.
They influence whether we are collaborative or combative. Ultimately, our ability to manage our emotions determines how successful we can be as leaders.
Are you:
Aware of your emotional triggers and how they affect your performance?
Engaging in conflict as a problem solver, or as someone completely stressed out?
Aware of how emotions contribute to your beliefs about yourself and others, and how they affect your ability to lead effectively?
Working with an executive coach who focuses on emotional intelligence and understands the landscape of systems and initiatives can help you become a more effective, intentional and successful leader.
Leaders at all Levels
I offer one-on-one coaching and team coaching for each stage of the leadership lifecycle, from high-potential individuals to the C-suite (corporations) and Superintendency (School Districts).
Executive Leadership (President, CEO, Superintendent, CAO, Executive Director, Director)
It can be lonely at the top! You need someone to strategize with that can help you determine long and short term goals for your team and organization.
Leadership (Director, Program Manager, Principal, Head of Department)
Give the support and resources Directors/Principals/Managers need to ensure your own growth and outcomes are clear, focused and sustained.
New Leaders
Build, create and sustain transition plans for leaders moving into a new role/and or new responsibilities.
Transitioning Leaders
There are times in your career when you may decide to seek a new type of employment, think about retirement, or plan a sabbatical. I can help with a clear, focused plan to navigate these changes.
1:1 Work Together
You and I will identify your core strengths, outlining your leadership style and establish a concrete, flexible action plan that provides clarity for completion. Our work together is fully customized to your individual and or team needs. As a coach, I build trust with leaders by taking time to understand your current context, leadership style, wants and needs. Leaders are supported and challenged to learn so that you can easily leave your comfort zone to stretch your capacity, skills, and capabilities.
Learning and Sustaining Behavior Change
We will work together to consider the mindsets, habits and emotions that drive behavior and work to make small changes to improve them (building efficacy). Together, we will focus on understanding mindsets that may lead to “being stuck” or frustrated. We then use your strengths to make small incremental steps to shift these behaviors, creating sustained behavior that supports you over time.
Executive coaching works well for executives who are:
Pursuing significant change
Wishing to manage your energy, stress level and time constraints effectively
Wanting to improve your emotional intelligence, your communication style, and interpersonal skills
Seeking to drive successful outcomes
Growing your capabilities to new levels
Seeking core transformation in yourself, your team or organization
Transitioning to a new career, retirement, or a sabbatical
The Results You Can Expect
I work with CEO’s, Superintendents, CAO’s, entrepreneurs, business executives, leaders of schools/districts, directors, and small business owners, to generate and experience noticeable success.
Executives can expect to learn and experience the following:
Strategic Planning. Focusing on timelines, working backwards, and setting clear targets (along with progress monitoring) enabling initiatives to stay on track.
How to Delegate. Teaching colleagues (by modeling and supporting) to learn new things, grow leadership skills and solve their own problems to free you up to focus on strategy and overall team/organizational goals.
Sense of Freedom. Executives experience decreased stress and increased time for themselves and their families.
Understand Emotional Triggers. You will learn how you may come across to others--what your strengths bring and how your challenges may get in the way of your leadership.
Kind, humane support. I am a skilled listener. I often hear things that are not said. I can support your growth, passion, and determination in a kind, compassionate manner.
Leadership coaching is a collaborative relationship between the leader and the coach.
The coaching model I use guides leaders through a self-reflective, interactive process that cultivates self-awareness, emotional management, social awareness, and relationship management in service of influencing and inspiring growth.
As the coach, I support you in exploring your vision as a leader, and provide the safety necessary for you to identify, align, and implement your personal and professional values, vision and goals.
